Many alumni ask how the dues ($75) are used. $50 of the dues is sent to the National chapter, while $25 remains with the chapter. As a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit corporation, the chapter needs working capital for operating expenses like sponsoring the fundraising events, hosting the Annual New Student Picnic, postage, maintaining a web presence, etc.. The annual dues expire June 30th each year.

By joining the Association, you will be supporting an organization that seeks to improve communications among Spelman Alumnae in New York, strengthen the endowment of Spelman College, and serve as a line of support for recent graduates moving to New York City.

To join please send your due payment of $75 to Financial Secretary, NY-NAASC, Grand Central Station, PO Box 4100, New York, New York 10163 or pay your dues online.
